For a long time, I pushed down my love for design, thinking that only a lucky few could make it in the creative field—a group I didn't see myself as part of.
My journey to design started when I wanted to align my work more closely with my creative interests and problem-solving abilities. I reflected on my experiences in healthcare and I found a common thread of wanting to help people. Drawing from my experience, I recognize that technology often scares users it aims to help, failing to simplify their lives as promised. This insight drove my passion for UX design, with a goal to create clear, friendly designs, making technology a trusted part of their experience.
My role in healthcare has shaped my analytical approach to problem solving along with a genuine curiosity to learn, both of which are valuable in UX design for understanding complex problems and exploring innovative solutions. Moving forward, I want to design solutions that simplify complex processes with clarity and transparency.
Beyond my professional life, I indulge in photography and art, which allows me to express and evolve my creative ideas.
As the first in my family to graduate from college, I navigated my early career without guidance, gravitating toward healthcare for its stability despite a deep-seated passion for design and creativity. For the longest time, I pushed down my love for design, thinking that only a lucky few could make it in the creative field—a group I didn’t see myself as part of.
However, my transition towards design began when I decided to realign my career with my creative interests and problem-solving skills. The path from healthcare to design was not straightforward or comfortable, but I have consistently valued the process over immediate outcomes, focusing on personal growth and skill development rather than traditional markers of success.
I embrace a mindset that celebrates growth and progress, particularly when it emerges from challenging situations. This journey has taught me that significant development often arises from these challenges, strengthening my determination to succeed in an industry that truly excites me.
When I'm not working, I love getting creative with photography and art—it's my way of bringing ideas to life! You can also find me curled up with a book, learning to play the piano, or watching horror shows and movies.
